GOALKICKR

For youth soccer coaches

Built on the sideline, not in a boardroom.

I'm a head coach who codes. Every screen shipped after a Saturday match taught me it was missing.

Every team deserves a shot.

Built by a coach who codes

Coach by day. Builder by night.

Most team apps are built by tech founders who've never coached. Most coaches don't ship software. GoalKickr is built by someone who does both, and every feature gets tested live at practice and on game day before it ships to your team.

  • Ships weekly. Coaches weekly.
  • Free for families
  • iOS live · Android in beta

Promo codes now survive the round-trip through Stripe

In-app deep links that carry a coupon (?coupon=CODE) now forward all the way through checkout, so coaches actually get the discount instead of silently paying full price. The Signup page shows a small "Promo X applied" chip when a code is in the URL. In-app signups also get a "Back to GoalKickr" button on the success page instead of being told to download the app they came from.

XP + Badges gets its own landing section

A ladder every kid can climb: New Signing to GOAT, private by default, no coins or streak-freezes. Sits between Player Circle and Kid Accounts on the landing.

  3. 2026-07-15

Kid accounts on the marketing site

Your kid can run their own account under yours. RSVPs, chat, dev-plan practice log all come from them; you still see everything and stay on the bill. Live in the app; landing section shipped today.

A moment we built for

A coach sent a one-line note about a kid's effort at practice. The parent replied like Santa had come early.

We call it Parent Whisper. A private, one-to-one note from coach to parent, delivered as a push and an email. No group thread. No chat clutter. Just: “Hey, here's what I saw your kid do today.”

Most team apps have a chat. None of them have a feature built around the moment a parent realizes their kid is being seen. That's what coaches who've been on the sideline build. That's the difference.

A whisper from Coach
About Beckett. Caught him helping a younger player tie his cleats before practice. Quiet leader. Wanted you to know.
M

Made my whole week. Thank you.

One wall, five voices

Where a season adds up to something.

Coaches drop a whisper after training. Teammates leave a POTM reason after Saturday's match. Grandparents in the Circle send a kudo from three states away. Badges land as they're earned. XP notes mark the moment a kid finally wins a 50/50.

All of it flows into Sideline Shouts, the wall on every player's profile. Filter to just coach notes, just Circle kudos, just badges, or read it end to end. Six months in, it stops being a feed and starts being a record of who your kid became this season.

Player Circle

So the kid knows: I have people.

Ask a nine-year-old what matters after a game and it isn't the stat line. It's who saw it. Who said something. Whether the people they love noticed.

Player Circle is the ring of adults around each player, everyone who cares beyond mom and dad. When the coach posts a Sideline Shout, they all see it. When grandpa taps Kudos, it lands on the wall with his name on it. The kid opens the app and sees a wall of their own people showing up.

That is the whole point. Stats are a side effect. Belonging is the feature.

XP + Badges

A ladder every kid can climb.

Most youth apps rank kids against each other, and the late bloomer stops opening the app. We built the opposite.

XP in GoalKickr is private by default. It lives on your kid's card, not on a scoreboard. The only person they're chasing is who they were last week.

The climb has six rungs: New Signing, Rising Star, Game Ready, Playmaker, Captain, GOAT. Every kid starts as a New Signing. Every kid can reach GOAT. It just takes the reps.

Practice streaks count real days on the pitch, and skip Sundays for families who need them to. Badges land as milestones you actually remember: first goal, first assist, hat trick, Player of the Match. Kudos from the Player Circle can convert to XP when the coach signs off, so the people who love your kid get to fuel the climb too.

No coins. No streak-freezes. No paying to skip a rung. Soccer is real, and the XP should reflect real work.

Coach turns it on per Squad. Off by default.

Parent accounts, kid accounts, one team

Stop being your kid's RSVP secretary.

You know the drill. Coach posts a game time. Parent sees it. Parent forwards to kid. Kid says “ok.” Parent taps yes. Multiply by a whole roster, every week.

GoalKickr lets your kid run their own account, under yours. The RSVP, the chat reply, and the practice log come from them, not from you. You still see the schedule, still get billed for dues, still get every broadcast. You just stop being the middle-router for a kid who owns a phone.

Coach gets accurate headcounts from the actual player. You get your Sunday nights back.

Common questions

Before you start your team.

Do parents need to pay anything?

No. Families are always free, on every plan. Only coaches and clubs pay. Parents get the app, the chat, the events, the highlights. All free.

How is this different from TeamSnap or Ollie?

TeamSnap charges per team. A 10-team club pays $120/month minimum. GoalKickr is $0/month for clubs with unlimited teams (we earn from Stripe processing on payments you collect anyway). Ollie is sold by a tech company; GoalKickr is built by an active head coach who codes.

What if my families don’t all have iPhones?

iOS is live in the App Store. Android is in beta on Google Play (closed testing, recruiting testers now). Until Android leaves beta, families on Android use GoalKickr in any mobile browser. Same features, just no native app icon yet.

Can I be an Android beta tester?

Yes, please. Email support@goalkickr.com and we will add you to the closed testing track on Google Play. Five testers in so far; we need a couple dozen more to graduate the Android build into public release.

How long does it take to switch from group chats?

Most coaches get parents onboarded in under a week. The fastest path: replace your group text with GoalKickr chat first, then layer in events and RSVPs once families are in the app. Registrations and payments come last.

What about my club’s existing roster and schedule data?

Bring it. GoalKickr imports schedules from any .ics calendar (including exports from your old app) and pulls rosters via GotSoccer export. Add players one-by-one for the last mile, or send parents a family invite link and they claim their kid themselves.

Every team deserves a shot.
